Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting. The role includes evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, and documenting in medical records.

You will supervise Clinical Fellows and other SLPs while collaborating with physicians, families, and the rehab team. California licensure or eligibility is expected, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Evaluate and treat patients and document services in medical records.
• Communicate with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Supervise Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care.
• Write accurate, complete documentation meeting regulatory and billing requirements.
• Collaborate with the rehab team and discharge planners.
