Job summary

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehab setting. The incumbent will develop treatment strategies, deliver services, and delegate as needed, based on patient needs and goals.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross; online certification not acceptable.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and time management abilities.

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital opened May 2026! Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 36 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
