Job summary

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to independently evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute rehab setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross required (online certification not acceptable).
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

• Detail-oriented and able to meet strict time frames.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, determines treatment strategies for speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders.
• Delivers and/or delegates services to identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate conditions across acute or prolonged rehab.
• Documents patient progress and coordinates with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital opened May 2026! Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 36 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
