Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Network in Missouri seeks PRN Speech-Language Pathologists to serve as Float SLPs across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings in the greater St. Louis region.

This unique PRN role offers weekend differential pay and requires current Missouri licensure, CCC-SLP, and the ability to travel between sites. You will evaluate, treat, and educate on swallowing, communication, and cognitive disorders within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
• Current BLS certification or within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to travel between assigned locations within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Assess and treat swallowing, communication, voice, and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
• Direct and supervise discipline-specific therapy services as appropriate.
• Design functional treatment programs to promote safe discharge and return to meaningful daily activities.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking PRN licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) to join our collaborative Regional Speech Department as a Float Speech-Language Pathologist.

This unique PRN position offers the opportunity to practice across multiple acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings throughout the greater St. Louis region while working alongside a highly skilled interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Required

• Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to travel between assigned locations within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.

Preferred

• Minimum of two years of experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation.
• Independent experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS/MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
