INNOVATE REHAB AND WELLNESS in St. Elizabeth, MO, seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility.

Flexible, as-needed shifts with an hourly wage based on experience. Requires Missouri state SLP license; CCC from ASHA preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid MO SLP license.
• CCC from ASHA (preferred).
• Experience in speech therapy preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide therapy for articulation and cognitive‑communication.
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
• Stay current with best practices in speech‑language pathology.

Position Summary

• Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
• Address speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive‑communication needs
• Help patients improve function and overall quality of life

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately
• Stay current with best practices and advances in speech‑language pathology

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state SLP license in Missouri
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (preferred)
• Prior speech therapy experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and patient‑care skills
• CPR certification (preferred)
