Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Odessa, MO is seeking a licensed PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility. You will deliver one-on-one therapy, evaluate patient progress, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active and valid Missouri SLP license.
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA (preferred).
  • Prior speech therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.
  • CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Address speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive‑communication needs.
  • Help patients improve function and overall quality of life.
  • Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
  • Stay current with best practices and advances in speech‑language pathology.
