Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Salisbury, MO is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling and the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, with an emphasis on individualized, evidence-based care.

Licensed SLPs with Missouri credentials are encouraged to apply; CCC-SLP preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program).
• Active and valid SLP license in Missouri.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Prior speech therapy experience preferred (new grads welcome).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
• Address speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication needs.
• Help patients improve function and overall quality of life.
• Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
• Stay current with best practices and advances in speech-language pathology.
