Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose, CA is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents within scope of practice and federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California license, and Clinical Competency certification; one year of clinical experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available along with PTO and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current California SLP license.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
