Job summary

Glendale Transitional Care Center in California seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat residents within scope of practice and federal guidelines. We value a professional, supportive environment and treat our residents and staff like family.

The SLP will screen and evaluate residents, implement plans of care, and administer specialized hearing and speech tests while maintaining confidentiality and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency expected.
• Current California license to practice SLP required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate residents and develop appropriate plan of care.
• Provide direct resident treatment according to plan of care.
• Administer, score, and interpret hearing and speech tests.
• Work with residents on functional swallow techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete required forms and documents per policy and regulations.

Education

One year of clinical experience

Certification in Clinical Competency

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.

• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
