Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents and develop care plans. The role provides direct treatment and involves administering speech tests and swallow techniques.

Applicants should hold an MS in Speech-Language Pathology, have a California license, and at least 1 year of clinical experience. A sign-on bonus is available and PTO/referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Certification in Clinical Competency is required.
• Current California license to practice SLP is required.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate residents and develop plans of care.
• Provide direct resident treatment per established plan of care.
• Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Assist residents with functional swallow techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with regulations.
• Complete required forms and documentation per company policy.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
