Job summary

Harborview Post-Acute in Memphis, TN is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders for residents in skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and document progress while supporting resident dignity and family education. We offer paid orientation, PTO, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• State licensure and relevant certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address identified communication difficulties.
• Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the course of treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patients' evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
