Job summary

The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a per diem position offering flexible scheduling and competitive pay of $55-$65/hour DOE. You will evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs, developing tailored treatment plans.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate residents and caregivers on aspiration prevention, communication strategies, and maintenance programs
• Participate in care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and utilization reviews
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
• Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) and students as applicable
• Assist with staff education and restorative nursing training
• Help residents maximize independence, safety, and quality of life

Qualifications
