Job summary

The Pines at Placerville in Placerville, CA is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist for per diem coverage to support residents’ communication, cognition, and swallowing therapy goals within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team, participate in care conferences, and help residents maximize independence with flexible scheduling and meaningful, resident‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Current California Speech Language Pathologist License.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate residents and caregivers on communication strategies and aspiration prevention.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation.
• Supervise CFYs and students as applicable.
• Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary teams.
