WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and treatment services in the Raleigh Campus Outpatient Rehab. You will deliver age-specific direct patient care, observe treatment effects, and discuss outcomes with patients, families, and the care team.
Responsibilities include serving diverse populations including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and post-surgical orthopedics, in a settings spanning WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed.
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for administering speech/language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services to patients and maintaining appropriate records. Position provides age specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of services and is responsible for observing and evaluating treatment effect and results and discuss them with the patient, family, team and management. The primary setting for this position is Raleigh Campus Outpatient Rehab and may be required to cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics, multi-trauma and debility for both adults and pediatric populations.
