WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to administer diagnostic and treatment services in acute therapy and rehab hospital settings. You will provide age-appropriate direct patient care and document progress for adults and pediatric patients with stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and other neurological conditions.
Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and CCC-SLP are required.
The Option 5 Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for administering speech/language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services to patients and maintaining appropriate records in all of the following settings of care: Acute Therapy Services (Raleigh/Cary) and Rehab Hospital. Position provides age specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of services and is responsible for observing and evaluating treatment effect and results and discussing them with the patient, family, team and management. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics, multi-trauma and debility for both adults and pediatric populations. This position is in the Therapy Services Supplemental Pool and has minimum shift availability requirements per calendar year.
