WakeMed in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the acute care setting. The role provides speech, language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services and maintains patient records with age-specific direct care as part of the Rehab Continuum.
Required credentials include a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC. Two years of clinical experience in Speech/Language Pathology are preferred.
The Speech Language Pathologist in the acute care setting is responsible for administering speech/language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services to patients and maintaining appropriate records. Position provides age specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of services and is responsible for observing and evaluating treatment effect and results and discuss them with the patient, family, team and management. The Speech/Language Pathologist may be required to cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed.
