Job summary

Longmont United Hospital in Colorado seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide a continuum of services for neurological, swallowing, and communication disorders. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, developing measurable treatment plans and ensuring smooth discharge planning.

The role requires CCC-SLP, ASHA certification, and current BLS, with preferred experience in inpatient or outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology with CCC-SLP.
• ASHA certification or equivalent credential.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients referred to speech therapy with initial assessments within department standards.
• Uses diagnostic tests for dysphagia, aphasia, language, voice and cognitive deficits.
• Plans treatment with measurable goals and coordinates discharge planning.
• Performs therapy for swallowing, voice, speech, language and cognitive skills.
• Documents evaluations, progress notes, and treatment records per standards.
• Communicates with patients, families and care teams while maintaining confidentiality.
