FutureCare in Baltimore is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join an interdisciplinary team focused on improving residents’ speech, language, and cognitive communication. You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in the medical record, collaborating with nursing staff and families throughout care.

The role requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Maryland clinical licensure, and ASHA certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Maryland clinical license for Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA Certification.
• Demonstrated competency applying SLP principles, methods and equipment.
• Ability to assess resident needs and develop a care plan.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
• SLP Clinical Fellowships welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate resident information on referral and its impact on treatment.
• Conduct and document thorough assessments of communicative deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable goals.
• Document evaluation and treatment following facility policies.
• Maintain accurate discharge summaries and medical records.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and families to maximize functional abilities.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic procedures after discharge.
