FutureCare is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team. You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, and cognitive communication disorders.

You will educate residents and families and collaborate with nursing staff to maximize functional abilities. The role requires a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, Maryland licensure, and ASHA certification.

Qualifikationen

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Maryland license in SLP.
• ASHA Certification.
• Competency in applying SLP principles and equipment.
• Ability to assess resident needs and develop a care plan.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate impact of resident information on assessment and treatment.
• Conduct thorough assessment to diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs with achievable goals.
• Follow facility evaluation and documentation guidelines.
• Document treatment in medical records after each session.
• Adjust treatment plan based on progress.
• Prepare discharge summaries in prescribed format.
• Educate residents and families about procedures and risks.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and families to maximize functional abilities.
• Instruct residents and families for continued care after discharge.
• Assist in referral processes for additional services.
