Job summary

Douglas ESD is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to serve K-12 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. The role covers Douglas County schools and may move between locations within the district.

The position offers a 190-day work year, five days per week, with a focus on assessment, therapy, and collaboration to meet IEP/IFSP goals for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid SLP license from the Oregon Board before start date.
• Teachers Standards and Practices Commission license with endorsement for communication disorders or speech impairment acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess students' communication disorders.
• Design and implement therapy plans to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
• Collaborate with IEP/IFSP teams and school staff to support students.
• Provide direct therapy and progress monitoring for K-12 students.
• Participate as a team member and contribute to program development.

Speech Language Pathologist (K-12) -Douglas Education Service District

Douglas Education Service District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Speech Language Pathologist to work with students in Kindergarten through 12th grade . This position serves the schools of Douglas County, and the location of this position can be subject to change.

190 days per year, 5 days per week beginning immediately.

JOB SUMMARY: Provide comprehensive assessment, therapy, and consultation services in the area of communication disorders.

SALARY: $63,333 - $89,195 per year (equivalent to $333.33- $469.45 per day or $41.67 - $58.68 per hour) Dependent upon relevant verifiable experience

DUTIES: This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. Full job description is attached in Applicant Tracking.

• Analyzes the effectiveness, appropriateness, and usefulness of strategies and practices used with students, parents, and staff.
• Designs, implements, and supervises delivery of instructional programs to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
• Participates as a member of a team (IEP/IFSP, Placement, etc.) and assumes appropriate roles; leads, follows, and supports others in a productive manner.
• Assess students' levels of functioning and their therapy needs.
• Participates in development of IEP/IFSP for each eligible student.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a valid SLP license from the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology prior to the first day of employment, OR a Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) license that has an endorsement for either communication disorders or speech impairment.
