Job summary

Douglas Education Service District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for Early Intervention serving birth to three years in Douglas County, Oregon. The position may involve variable locations and year-round work, including summer weeks.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessment, therapy, and consultation to support child development and family collaboration. 190 school days, plus 25 summer paid days, with salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid SLP license from the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology prior to the first day of employment, OR a TSPC license with endorsement for communication disorders or speech impairment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes the effectiveness, appropriateness, and usefulness of strategies and practices used with students, parents, and staff.
• Participates as a member of a team (IEP/IFSP, Placement, etc.) and assumes roles; leads, follows, and supports others.
• Assess students' levels of functioning and their therapy needs.
• Participates in development of IEP/IFSP for each eligible student.
• Collects, records, evaluates therapy data.
• Designs, implements, and supervises delivery of instructional programs to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
• Effectively manages student behavior.

Speech Language Pathologist (Birth to 3 Years Old) - Douglas Education Service District

This program runs year-round and will require work hours during the summer – 5 days per week for 5 weeks.

Douglas Education Service District is accepting applications for a Speech Language Pathologist for our Early Intervention department - helping children from birth to three years old . This position serves the schools of Douglas County, and the location of this position can be subject to change.

190 days, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day in the 2026-27 school year. Plus an additional 25 extra paid days during the summer.

SALARY: $63,333 - $89,195 per year dependent upon relevant verifiable experience
($333.33- $469.45 per day or $41.67 - $58.68 per hour)
