Job summary

Corewell Health in Michigan seeks a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide therapy to patients based on need and medical direction, and to educate patients and caregivers while arranging adaptive equipment. The role requires a Master’s Degree with CCC or CFY, Michigan licensure, and experience with neurological speech and language disorders across adults and children.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to patients based on medical direction.
• Educate patients and caregivers and arrange adaptive equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with care team to coordinate treatment plans.

Scope of Work

Provides therapy to patients based on patient need and medical direction. Provides patient/caregiver education and arranges for adaptive equipment as needed.

Standard Qualifications

• Master’s Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA.
• Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders.
• Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association, (required) or
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan (required) or temporary license during the CFY (required)
• State of Michigan Driver’s License – Home Care Line
