Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all ages. You will conduct evaluations, design treatment plans, and implement various therapeutic techniques to improve communication skills.

Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required; CCC-SLP is preferred and must be obtained within one year. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-centered environment, with opportunities

Qualifications

Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in current practice.
CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire, required within one year.
BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire or within 30 days for some facilities.

Responsibilities

Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop discharge plans based on assessments.
Administer speech-language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs.
Design rehabilitative programs for language, articulation, swallowing, and cognition.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home-based procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
