Job Description Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist III is responsible for providing treatment and intervention for patients with speech, voice, language, communication, swallowing, and related disabilities. Services are provided to Pediatrics & Adults, both inpatient and outpatient. The role includes leadership, mentorship, and supervision of SLP I & SLP II staff.

Additional Details
  • Entity: Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)
  • Worker Type: Employee
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts, overtime as required
  • Location: MUSC Children's Therapy Center (Offsite)
Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an ASHA-accredited program.
  • At least 1 year of work experience.
  • Current SC state licensure, ASHA CCC, and BLS certification.
Physical and Sensory Requirements

Includes ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working in various environments, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining sensory functions such as vision and hearing.
