Job summary

Mayo Clinic Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat swallowing, jaw opening, lymphatics, and speech issues in head and neck cancer patients undergoing surgery and/or radiation. The role includes clinical instruction and collaboration with a physician-led team.

Applicants should have a Master’s in SLP, Arizona licensure, CCC-SLP or equivalent, and BLS. Experience with alaryngeal speech and dysphagia is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Arizona licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence in SLP (CCC-SLP) or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire and valid for 90 days+.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, identification, diagnosis, education and rehabilitation of swallowing, speech and related disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer team and supervise clinical instructors.
• Perform swallowing diagnostics including MBS and FEES; support laryngology collaborations.
