The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is a member of the James Ambulatory Care Team, providing personalized health care to patients in outpatient clinics. The SLP specializes in assessment and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders, contributing to evidence‑based practice research. This professional's specialized knowledge of the larynx uniquely qualifies them to aid in the diagnostic and treatment process with a multidisciplinary team that may include other SLPs, otolaryngologists, pulmonologists, and various other medical professionals. The SLP furthers sub‑specialization in the assessment and treatment of speech, voice, and swallowing disorders related to head and neck cancer.
