The Speech-Language Pathologist at Westchester Medical Center Health Network provides inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services for voice, swallowing, and communication disorders, with a primary focus on ENT-related care and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies.
Working closely with ENT, Physical Therapy, Neurology and Radiology, this role supports patients with dysphagia, head and neck cancer, and tracheostomy/laryngectomy needs, and contributes to the Aerodigestive Team.
Title: Speech Language Pathologist Department: Otolaryngology
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with voice, swallowing, and communication disorders, with a primary focus on ENT-related care and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies. Working closely with ENT, Physical Therapy, Neurology and Radiology, this role supports patients with dysphagia, head and neck cancer, and tracheostomy/laryngectomy needs, and contributes to the Aerodigestive Team.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the diagnostic and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders, including outpatient Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies. Solid experience with instrumental evaluations of swallowing and voice – Videofluoroscopy, FEES, Videostroboscopy. Knowledgeable in tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis (TEP) training and tracheostomy/laryngectomy management. Must have head & neck cancer experience.
Education: Masters degree in Speech Pathology plus one year fellowship, required.
Licenses / Certifications: New York State Licensure in Speech Pathology, required. Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association, required.
