Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Louisiana (Winnfield) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The role involves evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders while delivering patient-centered care.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapy for articulation and cognitive-communication, educate families, and collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program).
• Valid state SLP license.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
• Prior speech therapy experience preferred (new grads welcome).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
