Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team in Florida. The SLP will assess referred patients, develop and administer treatment plans, and set goals according to each patient’s capacity and tolerance under physician direction.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a valid Florida license, and experience in long-term or geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centred treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and clinical excellence.
• Punctual, professional and adherent to scheduled hours.
• Performs all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Confidentiality, HIPAA and Residents Rights compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients that require rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals determined by capacity and tolerance.
• Set realistic goals for patients, document status and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide best patient-centred care.
