Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The SLP will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and document progress under physician direction, while educating patients and families in therapy approaches.

Requirements include an accredited degree in Speech-Language Pathology, FL licensure, and experience in long-term or geriatric care. This is a full-time, on-site role with emphasis on patient-centered care and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

• Document patient condition and progress through notes.
• Educate patients and families on therapy methods.
