Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our geriatric rehab team. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress under physician direction.

The ideal candidate has an accredited degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active Florida license, and experience in long-term or geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals based on patient capacity.
• Set realistic goals, document patient progress, and educate patients and families in therapy methods.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Residents' Rights.
