Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team in Florida. The SLP will assess referred patients requiring rehab, design and manage treatment plans, and work under physician direction to achieve functional goals.

Strong documentation, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential. Requirements include graduation from an accredited program and an active Florida license;

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
• Valid Florida license and registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Experience with long-term care and geriatrics preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.
• Experience with evaluations, progress notes, recertification and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Punctual, professional, and compliant with confidentiality/HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer treatment programs with goals based on patient capacity.
• Document and record patient conditions and educate patients and families.
• Set realistic goals and track progress toward recovery.
• Adhere to physician direction and organizational policies.
