Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. in Elmira, NY is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role in outpatient and inpatient settings. The candidate will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy across pediatric and adult populations, with collaboration across the care team.

New graduates are encouraged to apply and ASHA CCC eligibility is required or anticipated. BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Eligible for New York State licensure and registration.
• CCC from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain.
• 1–2 years of hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
• Provide direct therapy to pediatric and adult patients in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with policy.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, in-service training, and continuing education.
• Contribute to development of innovative speech therapy programs and services.
• Possible float to other nearby center
