Job summary

Lumiere Children's Therapy Chicago is seeking a patient-focused Speech-Language Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in Chicago. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of pediatric experience and may supervise incoming therapists in the future, handling private clients, preschool, and school-based work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Address client’s needs and skill development.

• Apply interventions to maximize performance across needs.
• Parent caregiver education.
• Observe, note, and report progress toward treatment goals.
• Collect data and document processes.
• Complete notes and paperwork in a timely fashion.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience and will be willing to supervise incoming Speech Therapists in the future. This position will include private client, preschool, and working within private schools. Strong CF will be considered.

Requirements

• Speech Therapy (ST) Licensure in the State of Illinois
• 1-2 years of experience Strong CF will be considered

• Apply interventions to maximize performance in all areas of need
• Parent Caregiver Education
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
• Collect data and document processes followed
• Complete notes and all paperwork in a timely fashion

Skills

• Proven working experience as speech therapist
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy
• Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
• Familiarity with Speech Therapy evaluation tools
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and Dx including Autism
• Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
• Professional behavior
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
