Job summary

Gersh Academy in Bronx, NY is seeking a smart and energetic Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy support to children ages 5-21. The SLP will collaborate with other disciplines and independently review outcomes to modify intervention programs, with clinical reasoning and professional judgment essential.

Candidates should have a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, a current NY license (TSSLD preferred), and experience with screenings, evaluations, and IEP/IFSP planning.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
• Must have current NY license.
• TSSLD certification preferred.
• PROMPT Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to address goals in each student's IFSP/IEP.
• Provide speech and language therapy/evaluations for language, articulation, and related areas.
• Work with children who have autism.
• Document evaluations and progress reports.
• Consult with parents, school staff, and colleagues.
• Maintain appropriate documentation per state and local requirements.
