Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to empower students and schools while preserving work-life balance. You will conduct evaluations, share findings with families and district staff, and develop evidence-based interventions in collaboration with the ARD committee.

You may deliver therapy services or supervise assistants, track progress with detailed records, and participate in ARD meetings to advocate for students’ educational goals.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate needs with comprehensive speech-language evaluations.
  • Communicate findings to parents and district personnel clearly.
  • Develop interventions with ARD committee to support student outcomes.
  • Provide therapy or supervise SLP Assistants in implementing IEP goals.

Your Role:

As aSpeech-Language Pathologist, you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive in their educational settings. Here’s how you’ll contribute:

Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students’ needs for specialized therapy services.

Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.

Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.

Provide Therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals.

Monitor Progress:Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.

Support Team: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students’ special education programs.
