Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages. You will conduct thorough evaluations, design tailored treatment plans, and utilize diverse therapeutic techniques to improve communication abilities.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, educate patients and families, and participate in care conferences to ensure seamless patient progress and home program

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire and required within one year.
• BLS Basic Life Support required within set timelines for certain facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop discharge plans.
• Administer SLP treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design rehab programs for language, swallowing, memory, and cognition.
• Educate patients and families on home continuation of therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
