Access Nursecare, Inc., a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency serving Miami‑Dade and Broward Counties, is seeking Speech‑Language Pathologists to provide high‑quality speech‑language pathology services for patients in the Aventura area. Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Conduct appropriate evaluations, assess the home environment, and identify equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
  • Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care to improve the patient’s function.
  • Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices/aids as indicated.
  • Communicate with referring physicians and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case conferences, in‑services, and other meetings required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Prepare and submit notes per organization policy.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech‑language pathology practice and theory.
  • Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate.
  • Instruct patient, family/caregiver, and other organization health care personnel in the patient’s treatment regime as indicated.
  • May supervise home health aide in procedures directly related to the speech‑language therapy plan of care.
  • Perform other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech‑language pathology services.
Position Qualifications
  • Possesses a master’s or doctoral degree in speech‑language pathology (SLP).
  • Is licensed as a speech‑language pathologist in the state where services are furnished, or meets the alternative state requirements (e.g., 350 supervised clinical practicum hours, no less than 9 months of supervised full‑time SLP services, and successful completion of a national examination in SLP).
  • Has a minimum of one year of clinical experience in Speech‑Language Pathology.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
  • Is a licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile in good working order.
