Job summary

Northside Hospital's Rehabilitation Team in Atlanta is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work with inpatients and outpatients across neonate to geriatric ages, providing patient and family education within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates hold a Georgia SLP license, CCC or eligibility, and current BLS certification; two years of clinical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathologist license by the Georgia Board.
• Two years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
• CCC by ASHA or eligible with supervised experience in progress.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Evaluates speech, language, cognitive, and communication impairments, as well as swallowing, airway, clinical voice and resonance disorders. Develops and administers speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients of age groups defined by clinical competency, which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.

REQUIRED

1. Current Speech-Language Pathologist license by the Georgia Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing


2. Two (2) years clinical experience.


3. Certified (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association or meets the educational requirements for certificate and in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification with completion in one year.


4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
