Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and communication disorders across patient ages. The role requires active GA licensure, CCC eligibility or certification, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

The successful candidate will provide patient and family education, develop therapy plans, and participate in hospital-based rehabilitation services focused on quality outcomes

Qualifications

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license by the Georgia Board
  • Two years clinical experience required
  • ASHA CCC certification or eligibility with supervised experience within one year

Evaluates speech, language, cognitive, and communication impairments, as well as swallowing, airway, clinical voice and resonance disorders. Develops and administers speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients of age groups defined by clinical competency, which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.


REQUIRED


  1. Current Speech-Language Pathologist license by the Georgia Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing

  2. Two (2) years clinical experience.

  3. Certified (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association or meets the educational requirements for certificate and in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification with completion in one year.

  4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).


PREFERRED


  1. Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language
