Job summary

Ascension Health at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a PRN role in Acute Care. You will deliver therapy interventions, educate families, and maintain patient records while supporting discharge planning and performance improvement initiatives.

Minimum Florida SLP licensure and BLS are required, with licensure to be obtained within 12 months of hire. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology SLP credential required.
• License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• One Year of experience working as an SLP
