Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will complete assessments within departmental timelines and develop individualized treatment plans.

You will document progress, participate in care team meetings, mentor students, and contribute to performance improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Current Florida State SLP license and ASHA CCC required.
• CPR certification and ongoing professional development expected.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Completes assessments within departmental timelines to determine treatment plans.
• Develops individualized plans based on functional status with short- and long-term goals.
• Performs evaluations addressing receptive/expressive language, articulation, voice, and swallowing.
• Documents evaluation findings, treatment sessions, and clinical recommendations clearly.
• Documents billing charges for evaluations and sessions per guidelines.
• Attends care staffings, team huddles, and related meetings for SLP patients.
• Mentors students and contributes to the clinical education program.
• Gives at least one in-service annually and participates in PI projects.
