Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our skilled nursing facility (SNF) team in Virginia. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with potential weekends and floating between facilities as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure eligibility, at least 2 years of clinical SNF experience, and strong skills in assessment, dysphagia management, and interdisciplinary collaboration; ASHA

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to provide holistic care.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with patients of all ages and a strong background in providing speech and language therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals

- Provide therapy services to patients, including but not limited to, articulation, language, fluency, and swallowing exercises

- Monitor and track patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care for patients

- Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving communication and swallowing abilities

- Document all patient care and progress accurately and timely

- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing board

- Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of speech language pathology through continuing education and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a clinical setting, preferably in a SNF

- Strong knowledge and understanding of speech and language disorders, dysphagia, and other related conditions

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records systems
