Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Salary Range: $40-$42.50 per hour
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexible schedule including weekends as needed. Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: 180‑bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
• Provide evidence‑based therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing skills
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
• Educate patients and their families on speech and swallowing strategies and techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Stay current with latest research and techniques in the field of speech language pathology

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state license or eligible for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
• Strong knowledge and understanding of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed
