Position: Speech Language Pathologist

Salary Range: $40 - $50 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a medium-sized skilled nursing facility. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This is a full-time position, with 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and no weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
• Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' communication and swallowing skills
• Monitor and document patients' progress towards goals and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Collaborate with other members of the rehab team to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and incorporate new techniques into practice
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progress notes

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and ability to use various assessment and treatment techniques
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic documentation systems
