Boost Home Healthcare - North Shore (MA) seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to administer speech therapy to patients in their homes, under physician orders and the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or Manager. The role emphasizes patient independence and high-quality care.

Applicants should hold a Master's/Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology, be MA-licensed, and have demonstrated experience in acute care. Intermittent visits and a strong patient-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state where services are furnished
  • 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or in progress) with at least nine months of supervised full-time SLP experience
  • Successful completion of a national examination approved by the Secretary
  • Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
  • Minimum of one year in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

  • Gather background data, review referrals, select/modify evaluation tools, and evaluate patients to determine functional levels.
  • Reevaluate progress, modify treatment plans, and acquire adaptive equipment to promote independence.
  • Provide full range of speech language pathology services as ordered by physician.
  • Consult with physicians regarding treatment changes.
  • Supervise home health aides as appropriate per state/federal guidelines.
  • Evaluate outcomes and discharge planning.

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) administers speech therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Supervisor or Manager, Speech therapy services are furnished only by or under the supervision of a qualified speech pathologist.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Gather background data, reviews referrals, selects and modifies evaluation tools, and evaluates patients determining the level of patient's physical and psychosocial functioning.
  • Reevaluate the patient's progress during treatment at appropriate intervals, recommending, acquiring, and modifying necessary adaptive equipment to augment the patient's independence.
  • Provide full range speech language pathology services as ordered by physician.
  • Consult with physicians regarding change of treatment.
  • Supervise home health aide as appropriate per state and federal guidelines.
  • Evaluate outcomes and discharge planning.

  • Successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or be in the process of completing), at least nine months of supervised full-time SLP experience, and has successfully completed a national examination approved by the Secretary.
  • Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing (refer to SLP state specific qualifications).
  • Minimum of one (1) year in an acute care setting.
