Job summary

Ascension's Seton Smithville Regional Hospital in Smithville, TX is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Acute Care team. You’ll collaborate with physicians, care teams and families to assess needs and deliver tailored rehabilitation plans.

You’ll treat patients across diagnoses, provide instruction to patients and caregivers, and manage a daily caseload to ensure smooth care transitions. A Texas licensure and BLS are required before start.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Texas Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required or provisional accepted until issued.
• Licensure must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date. Will also accept Texas-Speech Language Pathologist - Intern

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
