Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a Speech Therapist to join a home-based Early Intervention program serving infants and toddlers. You will conduct developmental assessments, deliver speech therapy, and collaborate with families to support goal attainment in natural environments.

The role involves flexible schedules, mileage reimbursement, and benefits; licensure in CA and pediatric EI experience are preferred. Join a supportive team dedicated to early childhood development across California.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to develop strategies to meet developmental goals.
• Use family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and ensure progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, community).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information in line with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re‑assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
