Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver home-based early intervention services across California. You will conduct developmental assessments and provide therapy within families’ homes and community settings, following IFSPs and coaching families to support progress.

The role offers a flexible schedule, potential sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, and benefits for part-time employees in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• California Speech-Language Pathology license required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in homes, daycares and community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
