Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in California.

Join our team with flexible schedules, a sign-on bonus up to $1,000, mileage reimbursement, tech stipend, and medical benefits for part-time staff. Work with families in natural environments to support developmental goals and caregiver coaching.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license.
• Pediatric experience in early intervention preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and help families develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Build caregivers’ confidence using family-centered coaching to generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, including homes, daycare centers and community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
